Not very good photos but I was trying to determine if this is a dingy skipper? It was seen on scrub land in south Spain. Thanks in advance
Skippers are notoriously difficult in southern Spain but I believe this is indeed a dingy skipper by virtue of the sub-margial row of small dots on the forewing. Lafranchis Butterflies of Europe gives a good picture.
I agree I am on the French/Spanish border Dingies have been about in the last two weeks, and thats a dead ringer
