I love snakes, and at the moment I am looking after a friends one I don't have any snakes but me friends one is a baby corn snake
and it is soooooooooo cute and I love the feel when I hold him i think they are lovely...
I adore snakes! I myself have a Bearded Dragon however I have held pythons and corn snakes and even wild grass snakes. They are amazing to hold and a lot less aggresive than people think!
With regards to all snake-keepers.
I find them fascinating, though am wary of poisonous ones, or any kind I don't know that might be poisonous.
I have always wanted to hold a snake (as long as its non-poisonous and - if a constrictor - not big enough to strangle me!) but never had a chance. My neighbour did find a slow-worm once and panicked thinking it was a snake.
When working abroad I once came face to face with a snake around the back of our house. It was long, thin and green and we both (the snake and I) reared back in surprise. Then the dog came out and started barking and the snake fled into a nearby tree. Making enquiries afterwards I think it must have been a green mamba. Apparently, though poisonous, they are quite timid and avoid people if possible. Just as well it wasn't the very aggressive and deadly black mamba!!!
Cpould have been a tree snake they are green too and not dangerous Green mamba and tree snakes are difficult to tell apart Ithink the green mamba has grey belly but not sure Anyway green mamba is quite dangerous Seen deead black mambas in kenya on the road and caught a black snake in our hotel room which was then killed by the staff (it was later i found it was harmless house snake) cause Africans dont like snakes Also went to a local zoo where this bloke had collected snakes from the area With spittting cobra mambas cobra tree snakes grass snakes lots of snakes from harmless too deadly, we also allowed to hold a mass of them It was ace:) The spitting cobra is really scarey The glass was covered in poison it was caught the day before and attacked everyone who looked at it That gotta the most scariest snake in Africa or a big mamba ? perhaps ?
