Beetle I.D. Please?

Hi there ,

I moved into a farm cottage and find lots of these in the bathroom bug.jpg.

Small (3-4mm approx) and very slow moving, infact they move a bit like #a tiny weevil and seem to be coming from somewhere under the bath as far as I can see.

Does anyone know what they are and are they harmful (as in,do the b*****s bite )?

Thanks.

P.S. First post and apparently I haven't "marked this as a question"...no idea how so please bear with me. Thanks.

It is not completely unlike a Sitophilus oryzae, but it is hard to be sure. And I can't exclude that it is one of those never seen but often heard of Bathroom Toe-eater Beetles.

Sitophilus granarius perhaps? And I don't know enough about bathrooms in Scotland (but I can imagine a lot about them) to tell why they are there.
