Eating my wisteria

Can anyone identify this little bug? I found it on my wisteria plant in Cardiff, and I think it's eating the poor plant? It is sitting in the palm of my hand.

Thank you.

This is a Harlequin Ladybird larva, It eats the aphids that feed on your plants, but it don't stop there. To your Wisteria it is beneficial, but to the nature of Europe it is a threat. I prefer the European nature to any British Wisteria anytime.
