Can anyone help with this littlte guy, he was hitching a ride on my trousers while I was photographing Dragonflies.
He has quite a ditinct pattern but I cann't find it in any of my books
Would appreciate any ideas.
Thanks in advance.
That will be the longhorn beetle species Rhagium mordax.
Thank you for the Identification.
I was trying to id using Watford Beetle web site but thought the antennae were too short to be a Longhorn type, so skipped that section.
Cerambycidae; also known as long-horned beetles or longicorns, I'll have to check a bit further next time.
But thanks again for a great ID.
