Kitchen Beetles

Our kitchen has been infested with hundreds of tiny brown beetles about two millimetres long as shown in the photo. (Apologies for the quality of the photo but it's the best I could do.) Can you identify them please because I suspect they are breeding in our dry foodstuffs (rice, pasta, etc.)? How do I eliminate them?

Eliminate them by removing the infested products. Cleaning the shelves and room the infestation is in thoroughly. Then treat with a residual insecticide that is designed for crawling insects. Pay particular attention to cracks and crevices when using the insecticide.
