Why are dogs thought of as Man's best friend?

Not all dogs are nice.

Some growl all the time.

Some bite.

Some need to be caged up.

Some fight.

But some are cute.

Some stick to your side?

But why are they man's best friend?

Because dogs have helped humans for ages with hunting and stuff. Also, we can train them easily and they make great companions. They make people happy. I'm obsessed by my dogs.

    I love my dogs!

There is no thing in this world like the welcome home you receive when you return home from a hard day out at work than from your dogs!  Also they are great protection when you do night time site visits very few people want to mesh around with a person accompanied by a Big Dog.

Dogs are belived to be descended from wolves. Ancient man used to bring wolf cubs home to raise them as pets to be used for protection & to hunt. Dogs can be taught to do a variety of things ie sniffing out drugs, being seeing dogs for the blind amongst other things. They are incredibly loyal & can sense when things are wrong. Our Bernese Mountain dog Duffy used to know when my mum was going to have one of her epileptic fits. Also one day dad & I had been involved in a car accident & Duffy could sense something had happened as he laid his head on my mum's knee & refused to budge until my dad got home.
