3 little flying bugs found

Hi all

I was wondering whether anyone could identify the bug in the attached picture. I found 3 of them on my window sill. It appears to have wings. I have just moved into a new flat so I am hoping its not something to worry about. But 3 in one location is not common surely.

Any help or advice would be greatfully received.

Many thanks

Jonno

Hi Jonno, it's a carpet beetle Anthrenus verbasci. If there are just a few then it may be nothing to worry about - I find an occasional adult or larva in my house but I'm not too bothered. However, if you find more, then maybe you ought to find out what they're eating because they feed on natural fibres / materials.
