I am trying to identify a tree in my garden and can't find it online or the books I have and I am hoping someone can help. I have attached a couple of pictures and listed a few characteristics below.
I thought it might be a pagoda tree of some sort but it doesnt quite fit the bill. Any guidance greatly appreciated.
It looks a bit like an Elaeagnus species. Do you have any pics of the flowers?
Prunus dulcis is deciduous so unlikely to be that.
The person asking stated it was an evergreen tree. I know you didn't say it was Prunus dulcis just that it was similar. I was merely pointing out, to reduce any potential confusion, that P. dulcis was not a possiblity due to it being deciduous and this being evergreen.
Hi all, thanks for the information and comments. I beleive we have a winner in the Elagnus..
Eleagnus x ebbingei.
Flowers wise it has had some but I must admit they were few and far between and I do not remember when they appeared
