This bug/ larvae has been found in our bathroom mostly but more recently I've found one in the kitchen, which is worrying me. It seems to be a worm like creature with hair all over it's body. It is about the size of a tip of a pencil and smaller. From what I can see, it moves very quickly for such a small thing. It is brown in colour and seems to be a bit darker in colour at one end. Their outer body is soft- they don't seem beetle like.

Looks like dermistid beetle larvae. Most likely Anthrenus verbasci which is pretty common indoors in Britain (found one my self today), they generally feed on natural fibres (wool, cotton etc). They can become a pest.
