Does anyone know what this is?

Thinking it is possibly a beetle larvae of sorts, but which kind?  Does anyone know?

Was found on a heathland whilst minibeasting - if that helps.

Many thanks!

    Hello,

This is a Lacewing larva (Neuroptera). They are predators and are used as biological control agents. Kind of unusual for this time of year :-) I guess you took the photos last summer (26 May is the date on the photo) which makes more sense. They had plenty of food then.

    Regards,
