Answered - Mysterious shape from Kimmeridge Bay

This specimen was collected by a visiting German geologist (Devonian expert) in Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset UK.  Since it is Jurassic he sent me this photo asking for help identifying it - best to rotate it a few times.  Although track-like,  I have concluded that it might be an imprint of the keel of a Aulacostephanus ammonite but I welcome other suggestions...

[ I also think the rock has been heated as the shales at Kimmedidge Bay are dark grey normally - some levels have been heated both artificially and naturally so the red colour may be explicable[
