Hi Moomintroll. Atlantic Cod is listed as a vulnerable species by the International Union for Conservation of Nature, so the whole issue of fishing and eating them is a controversial one. We will be discussing this and other questions at our Nature Live evening event, 'The End of the Great British Fish Dish?' at the museum on Thursday 28 January.
for more information about cod.
Ollieott-I agree, that's why I eat Haddock, because I think stocks are more plentiful than Cod
PinkPolarBear-Just because you're a vege doesn't automatically mean you don't eat fish, Tom (one of my mum's friends) is a vege but he loved prawns, fish etc
I think we, as humans, should work harder to protect the animals and wildlife around us. Cod is very delicious, but if we over fish we may never get to eat it again. So we should try harder to protect the Cod!
