Just had to stay up to post thid description. When I get the software back on my computer I'll have a photo.
Light-coloured spots on top side part
5 or six florets on each branch
Grows in a monkey-tree like pattern
Thick rubbery texture
It was the only one in a garden centre and had no ID on it. Had it about three years.
Any ideas appreciated.
Hi Trifffid, the description of the leaf instantly made me think it could be some sort of Begonia.
Does it look anything like this?
Thanks Quagga, it is just that (apart from that mine has/had very scalloped edged leaves). I feel silly now as I know that begonias are very common. My screen name of Triffid is no ID as to my expertise! Question answered anyway.
