Lavatera oblongifolia’s area of distribution is restricted to the south-eastern Andalusian provinces of Granada and Almería, in the area of las Alpujarras and the surrounding mountains stretching from the Sierra Nevada to:

  • Sierra de Lújar
  • Sierra de la Contraviesa
  • Sierra de Gádor
  • Sierra Alhamilla

Lavatera oblongifolia is restricted to:

  • calcareous or dolomitic soils
  • matorral shrublands
  • rocky and bushy mountainous places between 680–1,120 metres above sea level

It flowers from June through to September.
