Common carder bee, Scottish colour form

360 degree rotation

The common carder bee, Bombus pascuorum, has shaggy hair and is one of the UK's most common bumblebee species.

The Scottish colour form, which is lighter than the English colour form, looks very similar to the rarer moss carder bee, Bombus muscorum, which has shorter, denser hair.
