Press cutting reporting on Wallace's funeral, dated November 1913.
This report from the Daily Sketch newspaper, with the headline 'The Last of our Most Eminent Scientists', briefly describes Wallace's funeral procession. 'Quietly, and with little outward display, they bore the remains of Dr Alfred Russel Wallace to his last resting-place at Broadstone, Dorset'. A photograph is printed, showing the horse-drawn hearse on the way to the churchyard. Wallace died on 7 November 1913, at the age of 90.
