Bird in profile, facing to the right, perched on a tree branch against a plain background. The bird has a black head with a blue patch around the eye which fades as it gets closer to the eye, and a white patch on the back of its head. The bill is curved and the tongue pink and forked. The throat, breast and belly are white to grey, and the wing, back and tail yellow overlaid with brown hatched lines. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
