hide detailed image description

Slender bird in profile, facing to the right, perched on a tree stump with ground and grass at base but set against an otherwise plain background. The top of the bird's head, neck, back and wings are brown, overlaid with darker hatched lines. The bill is black - dark grey and curved, with a 'brush' tongue protruding. The throat and breast are white with black markings, with a red wattle suspended from the throat; the belly is yellow. The tail feathers are long, grey and white tipped. The drawing is framed by a pencil border and annotated in ink and pencil.
