Born in Liverpool, Arthur Miles-Moss studied at
Trinity College, Cambridge. He was ordained as deacon
in the Church of England before travelling to South
America. His parish there covered a vast area of
Brazil and he became known as the vicar of the largest
parish in the world.
Miles-Moss was an accomplished artist and his drawings
of caterpillars are of considerable scientific interest.
