Samuel Richard Tickell (c.1809-1875) Samuel Tickell drew these watercolours of Indian birds while
serving in the British Army. He also drew fascinating sketches
of ordinary people in rural areas of India during the mid-nineteenth
century. Tickell had hoped that one day he would publish these
drawings, unfortunately this never happened. |
