This collection contains over 300 watercolour drawings of plants from the famous Botanic Garden at Saharanpur, 800 miles northwest of Bengal, south of the Himalayas. The drawings were made during the 1850s by a number of local artists. Little is known about the talented artists who produced such attractive and important records of the plants that were growing in the Garden during this period.
