Moses Harris (1730-c.1788) Moses Harris became interested in insects from
an early age. This wonderfully detailed watercolour
depicts the life cycle of two species of moth, the
silk-worm moth (Bombyx mori) with its food-plant
the Mulberry tree and the garden tiger moth (Arctia
caja).
