William MacGillivray
(1796-1852) William MacGillivray was born in Scotland. A naturalist
and bird enthusiast, he illustrated and wrote many
books on ornithnology. He was also an accomplished
artist and throughout the 1830s produced a collection
of large-scale drawings of birds and mammals.
