A skilled artist, lithographer and engraver, Frederick W. Frohawk is well known for his superb watercolours of mammals, birds and insects. He was commissioned by the magazine The Field to provide a range of natural history illustrations. Lord Rothschild also engaged him to illustrate his scientific publications.
