Fletcher (1979) stated:-

F. perspersaria Duponchel is currently treated as a subspecies of Boarmia miniosaria Duponchel, 1829, ibidem 7 (2): 368, pl. 160, fig.4. Lederer included the type-species as perspersaria Treitschke, an incorrect authorship, evidently taking the name from Treitschke, 1835, in Ochsenheimer, Schmett. Eur. 10 (2): 192, where the species was discussed. It is clear that Lederer distinguished between Gnophos perspersata Treitschke, 1827, ibidem 6 (1): 166, and Fidonia perspersaria Duponchel, which Treitschke recorded in 1835, for Lederer, 1853, ibidem 3 (Abh.): 178, listed perspersata Treitschke in the genus Gnophos. Geometra * Perspersaria [Hübner], [1826], Cat. Lépid. Franck: 61, no.1079, a name attributed by Treitschke and by Duponchel to Franck, is a nomen nudum.

The same type-species has been similarly designated by Lhomme, [1930] 1923-1935, Cat. Lépid. Fr. et Belg.: 446 and by Wehrli, 1953, in Seitz, Gross-Schmett. Erde 4 (Suppl.): 655.

Parsons et al. (1999) included BICHROMA Gumppenberg, 1887; ENCONISTA Lederer, 1853; and HISTURGIA Agassiz, 1847 as junior synonyms of ISTURGIA Hübner, 1823.
