Evening Reception

TDWG 2005: Evening Reception

The Welcome Reception will be held at the Zoological Institute. Details of the location and exact time will be posted here soon.

We ask that you join in the international spirit of the Taxonomic Databases Working Group by bringing with you something representative of your country or culture. We suggest:

• A bottle of alcoholic or soft drink typical of your country
• A package of snacks or candies, or an item of food, typical of your country
• National Music on a CD
• Small National flag

Advice from Customs in Russia is that you are allowed to bring into Russia up to 2 L. of wine/ beer or up to 1 L. of strong alcoholic drinks (stronger than 38,8 degrees).  As to foodstuffs, we were told that one can bring into Russia foodstuffs in "moderate amounts".

If delegates bring these items with them we hope to cover background costs of the Reception. If you do not bring anything there will be a notional charge of 600 rouble to attend.
