In order to make transport between hotel and venue as easy and smooth as possible we strongly encourage the majority of delegates to stay in a single hotel - the Heritage Christchurch in downtown Christchurch, a short drive (by bus to be provided) to the Meeting venue (University of Christchurch). We are still researching details of a cheaper alternative to the downtown hotels listed here.

We have had great difficulty securing a block booking at discount rates. Many hotels in downtown Christchurch are already booked out. Please note that the block bookings at negotiated rates referred to in the table below are guaranteed only until 31 July 2004.

We advise that you book through the travel agents (TDWG Meeting - New Zealand Travel/Accommodation web site), as the cost is the same, and they can guarantee ease in securing the proper rate. You are also able to book direct with the hotel. IMPORTANT: if booking directly with the hotel, please quote “TDWG meeting”
