On this page we'd like to tell you more about the advantages
of joining The Quekett:
- The lending library -
there is an extensive library available, all of which can be
accessed by post
- Borrowing slides - you
can borrow slides from the Club's comprehensive collection
- The 'Gossip' meetings
- these are usually held on the second Tuesday in the month at
the Natural History Museum
- Lectures - there is a
full program of lectures, varying from talks on forensic microscopy
to the microscopy of food
- Excursions - excursion
leaders will guide you to interesting locations and help you
make the most of them
- Local meetings - one
day meetings are organised by local groups, ranging from Dorset
to the Midlands.
- The annual weekend -
one weekend in the year the Club organises a 3 day meeting in
different parts of the country.
- The Annual Exhibition
- this is the Big One! Held in October at the Natural History
Museum, members make a special effort to mount exhibits ranging
from magnificent Victorian instruments to live material and video
microscopy.
- Publications - you get
two editions of the Journal, and two editions of the Bulletin
each year.
