The Honey Bee Inside Out By Celia F Davis
14:00 on Saturday 14 th November 2009 Dorothea Bate Room – The Natural History Museum Celia Davis graduated from Reading University with a degree in Agriculture. After a career in teaching and lecturing she gave up work to concentrate on bringing up a family, cultivate a large garden and keep bees. She has been fascinated by insects since childhood and has kept bees for over 20 years.
She obtained the National Diploma in Beekeeping in 1994, having previously won both the Robert Hammond Award, and the Wax Chandlers Prize. She was Secretary of the Warwickshire Beekeepers Association for 11 years, spent 6 years as a member of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) Examination Board, is a tutor for the BBKA correspondence course, and continues to teach beekeeping.
Celia is the author of two very highly acclaimed books, “The Honey Bee Inside Out” and “The Honey Bee Around and About”. She is in great demand from a wide range of groups to speak on beekeeping, insects and associated environmental matters.
