THE NORTHAMPTON MEET

This is one of the most enjoyable meetings on 'the circuit', for me not least for the excellent buffet lunch organised by the ladies of the Club!

The meeting was, as usual, well-attended, and some familiar figures can be seen in the general view of the crowded hall seen above - Earnie Ives, Colin Lamb, Barry Ellam et al.

Here the President of the Society, Mr Sean Karly inspects my own exhibit: using a high-intensity white LED with a selection of diatoms with differently spaced striae, which showed a range of Newtonian colours

This is a rather nice early microscope restored and exhibited by John Fletcher. I'm afraid I don't know the make!

So, as usual, a very good meeting and well-worth looking out for next year!
