Acknowledgment of the following new Applications was published on 18 December 2009 in Volume 66, Part 4 of the Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature

Under Article 82 of the Code, existing usage is to be maintained until the ruling of the Commission is published.


CASE 3504: Onthophagus rugulosus Harold, 1886 (Insecta, Coleoptera, SCARABAEIDAE): proposed conservation of the specific name. F. Krell.

CASE 3505: Melitta annularis Kirby, 1802 (currently Hylaeus annularis; Insecta, Hymenoptera): proposed suppression of the specific name. P. Westrich & M. Edwards.

CASE 3506: Allosaurus Marsh, 1877 (Dinosauria, Theropoda): proposed conservation of usage by designation of a neotype for its type species Allosaurus fragilis Marsh, 1977. G.S. Paul & K. Carpenter.

CASE 3507: Phylloporina Ulrich in Foerste, 1887 (Bryozoa, Fenestrata, Phylloporinina): proposed designation of Retepora trentonensis Nicholson, 1875 as the type species. F.K. McKinney & P.N.Wyse Jackson.
