Nine species including a new one of walchiid sand-mites distributed in Xizang were reviewed and redescribed. They belong to two subfamilies, five genera: for Walchiinae, Walchia zangnanica (Walchiini), Schoengastiella gongrii, Sch. himalayana, Sch. qomolangma, Sch. wufi sp.n., Sch. xizangensis, Nepaliella lapivoluta (Schoengastiellini); for Gahrliepiinae, Gateria anisochaeta, Gat. zayuensis (Gahliepiini). The generic concept of Nepaliella was redefined. Two new synonyms are assigned: Schoengstiella absonata Nadchatram et Fernandes, 1989 synonymic with Sch. qomolangma and Sch. murphyi Nadchatram et Fernandes, 1989 synonymic with Sch. himalayana.
Key words: sand-mite, Walchiidae, Walchia, Schoengastiella, Nepaliella, Gateria, new species, Xizang
