A new genus of Neothrombiidae (Acari: Trombidioidea) from New Zealand

Abstract

Opiliotrombium akatarawa gen. & sp. nov. is described from larvae parasitic on male Megalopsalis inconstans (Opiliones) from New Zealand. This is the first record of the family Neothrombiidae in New Zealand.
