Our intrepid explorer Dino Dan is here to share his discoveries. Your students will help him piece together the story of his grandfather.

Dino Dan will explain how he has been exploring his attic, looking for things that belonged to his grandfather, who turns out to be a dinosaur-fossil hunter who travelled to Mongolia.

Through lots of questions and answers, your students will help Dino Dan uncover his grandfather's exciting life by examining artefacts and fossils collected on his adventures.

Dino Dan will also talk about the equipment explorers might take on an expedition, the difference between fossils and skeletons, and fossils of other animals and dinosaurs.

The workshop ends with the opportunity for the children to touch a real dinosaur fossil.

Learning themes: working scientifically, classifying animals, dinosaurs, living things and their habitats.
