We’re joining forces with the Roald Dahl Story Company to host James and the Giant Weekend, a family festival inspired by Roald Dahl’s beloved story, on 8-9 September.

Explore the natural world celebrated in Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach, ahead of the global celebrations for Roald Dahl Day on 13 September. 

We have a giant weekend of activities and events for the whole family to make fun discoveries about James's friends.

Join our expert minibeast detectives to uncover marvellous minibeasts in the Museum’s Wildlife Garden. Suitable for 5+. Drop-in: 11.00–16.30

 

Whizzbanging Words

Join our friends from the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre to find out how Roald Dahl created the story of James and the Giant Peachhis first famous children’s story. Learn to use some of his wondercrump techniques to get your own insect tale underway. Session lasts 45 minutes.
