Visiting Investigate

Get hands-on at the Museum 

Investigate is located in the Clore Education Centre in the basement of the Green Zone of the Natural History Museum. The entrance to Investigate is via the stairs and lifts across from Creepy Crawlies.

Investigate is open to the public:

  • 11.00-17.00 during the school holidays and on weekends.
  • 14.30-17.00 during school term.
  • Last entry is at 16.30.

Please note that Investigate will be closed for gallery maintenance on the last Thursday of the month from 2.30pm except when this falls in a school holiday. For full details please contact the Museums bookings Office on +44 (0) 20 7942 5555.

There are 27 km of specimen shelves in the Darwin Centre - the same distance as between the Museum and Junction 6 of the M1.
