Another way to show the evolutionary relationships between these animals is by drawing a cladogram. Here are two cladograms giving different versions of evolutionary events:

   
Cladogram 1

If these are the correct relationships, then milk glands and hair must have both evolved on two separate occasions, once in moles and once in bats.
   
Cladogram 2

If these are the correct relationships, then wings must have evolved independently on two separate occasions, once in bats and once in birds.
