Put on a fantastic daytime event by holding it in one of the Museum's dedicated conferencing venues.
As well as the Flett Theatre there is our new, smaller space, the Neil Chalmers Seminar Room. Find out about both venues below.
Our conference spaces can accommodate a range of daytime events, from large meetings and training days to presentations and seminars.
Both venues are equipped with plenty of audiovisual facilities. Excellent catering options are also available.

Neil Chalmers Seminar Room
With state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, the Neil Chalmers Seminar Room is perfect for small presentations, conferences and screenings.
Because it is close to the Darwin Centre atrium, in the summer months refreshments can be served outside in our beautiful landscaped courtyard. You can even combine a daytime event in the Neil Chalmers Seminar room with evening drinks or dinner in the Darwin Centre to add a special finishing touch.

Audiovisual facilities
For a little extra, hire one of our technicians for audiovisual support. This includes:
- integrated podium PC for presentations from memory stick
- video capture facilities that you can use to make a DVD recording of your event
- Blu-ray and DVD playback for film screenings
- interactive whiteboard for marking up presentations
- lectern microphone, 2 wireless roving microphones and induction loop

Flett Theatre
Use our purpose-built, auditorium-style theatre for talks, conferences, seminars and training days.
The Flett Theatre has built-in audiovisual equipment and a large, private foyer for registrations and refreshment breaks.
Because it's situated next to the striking Earth Hall, you can combine daytime events in the Flett Theatre with evening drinks or dinner in the Earth Hall for a special finishing touch to your event.

Audiovisual facilities
For a little extra, hire one of our technicians for audiovisual support. This includes:
- lectern with in-built microphones
- connections for a PC to link to our 4000-lumen projector
- HD video playback (through the projector - PC is not provided)
- 2 wireless roving microphones, 3 wireless lapel microphones and induction loop
- audio cassette playback and recording to MP3
- Blu-ray and DVD playback for film screenings
