Predators

With a focus on nature's evolutionary arms race, this blockbuster exhibition explores the dynamic between predator and prey through amazing animatronic models, interactive displays and real specimens.

For prey, each encounter is life or death, but for predators, only a single meal is at stake.

The prey versus predator dynamic in the animal kingdom is not always the unequal combat we might think it to be. Over millions of years, predators have evolved lethal weapons and acute senses with which to find, catch and kill their prey. They sometimes seem invincible, but this exhibition encourages visitors to think again: prey can hide, escape and fight back to survive.

Exhibition details

The exhibition is divided into three display areas:

  • The Senses
  • Tools & Weapons
  • Hunting Strategy

Each area features an animatronic model as a central focal point, around which real specimens are displayed.

Predators is an interactive experience

The exhibition also features four interactives including a multiplayer game where visitors can use a variety of strategies to capture electronic prey.

This exhibition gives visitors an idea of the relentless battle between predators and prey, with engaging educational qualities that you’d expect from a world class Natural History Museum exhibition.
