Authors
The late Prof. Peter Dixon, author of Biology of the Rhodophyta and numerous scientific papers, specialised in red algal taxonomy at the University of Liverpool and more recently at the University of California at Irvine.
Linda Irvine has over 30 years’ experience at the Natural History Museum, specialising in algal taxonomy and nomenclature. She is a major contributor to two other books in the series.
