Copyright
All books and journals published by or in association with the Natural History Museum are held under copyright. We endeavour to protect copyright on behalf of our authors, the Museum and our co-publishers, and we ask you to respect copyright when using our material. Please be aware that there may be fees involved when material held under copyright is reproduced or translated.

In general our books are as international in subject coverage as possible. If you are interested in working with us on a co-edition of one of our titles or in translating a title please contact the Head of Publishing.

We handle image, text and photocopying enquiries for books and journals published by and in association with the Natural History Museum where copyright is held. Please use the tabs below to further your enquiry.

Before you contact us about reproducing images from a book published by or in association with the Natural History Museum, please check the picture credits, usually found at the end of a book, to determine the copyright holder. Please contact the copyright holder acknowledged in the credits directly with your request. If you believe the figure, table, illustration or photograph is Natural History Museum copyright please contact Image Resources.
