To mark Climate Week and the launch of the OPAL Climate Survey earlier this month, Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) is calling on budding photographers to send in their UK weather snaps to win some great prizes.
Whether it’s of a colourful sunset or a rainy day in a town centre, any photos of the great British weather, or which show how we’re affected by weather conditions, are welcome. The more original and creative the better!
The winner of the OPAL Weather Photo Competition will receive £100 Amazon vouchers, a photo mosaic of all the entries, and a subscription to the Royal Meteorological Society’s the Weather magazine. The closing date for all entries is 3 May 2011.

The competition is in support of OPAL’s Climate Survey, which is asking everyone to find out more about how we affect climate and how adaptable we might be to climate change by taking part in some simple experiments.
Open Air Laboratories (OPAL) is a nationwide partnership initiative that inspires communities to discover, enjoy and protect their local environments. It is led by Imperial College London and the Natural History Museum is a partner.
