Learning Volunteer Programme

Please note that the Museum is not currently recruiting Learning Volunteers. We plan to re-open recruitment later in the year.

  • Do you have a passion for the natural world?
  • Are you a good communicator?
  • Do you enjoy helping others to learn?

If the answers to these questions are ‘yes', then you could be one of the enthusiastic volunteers the Museum needs for its exciting, gallery-based Learning Volunteer Programme. Previous experience is not essential as full training is provided.

One of the Museum's core objectives is to help people appreciate the science and wonder of the natural world. We want to make the learning experience more accessible, powerful and memorable for Museum visitors.

Learning Volunteers play a pivotal role by interacting with our visitors in the galleries, enthusing and inspiring them about the natural world, using real specimens. We are committed to providing rewarding and enriching experiences for our volunteers.

The Learning Volunteer Programme is part of our Lifelong Learning Team.
