The Museum is a popular place to volunteer, especially if you're interested in natural history. We have over 400 active volunteers in many diverse roles, including a small number of internships.
V Factor - from visitor to volunteer
We are now offering places for our 2013 V Factor volunteer sessions, helping to collate our Thomas Combers diatom collection. And see our V Factor volunteers and scientists in action in the Specimen Preparation Area on Thursdays.
Work experience
The next Work experience placements for students in Year 10 up to 18 year-olds are for these periods:
- Summer half term (25 May - 2 June) placements are advertised in March/April.
- Summer holiday (24 July - 2 September) placements are advertised in April/May.
- October half term (27 October - 4 November) placements are advertised in August.
- Christmas and New Year holiday (22 December - 6 January) placements are advertised in November.
