Books of Presents The volumes in this series contain the lists of donations that were prepared in each department as a report to the meetings of the Standing Committee of the Board of Trustees. The lists record the date of presentation, the name and address of the donor, a brief description of the donation, and a note of the date of acknowledgement. Occasionally, reference is made in the Books of Presents to a registered correspondence, which support a donation. This can be found in series DF1000/53 (Director's Office: Reports and Letters 1881-1921). 1884-1937
